Online Training Courses

AHDI

The Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI; formerly AAMT or the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists) provides resources for the medical transcription community, including education program recommendations. The Career Step Medical Transcription and continuing education exam prep courses are approved by AHDI.

AHDI has developed a list of approved medical transcription education programs to provide a trusted resource to those interested in entering the field. All of the medical transcription education programs included on the AHDI-approved list are reviewed and approved by the Approval Committee for Certificate Programs (ACCP), a joint committee between AHDI and AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association). The Certified Medical Transcriptionist and Registered Medical Transcriptionist credentials are also offered by AHDI. Career Step's continuing education programs are approved by AHDI to help students prepare for these credential exams. AHDI has also specifically approved the CMT Exam Prep course to provide Certified Medical Transcriptionists 33 of the continuing education credits they need to meet the recertification requirements.
